In the early 80’s, Todd Beeten put his successful Yankee finish career on hold and followed his love for making music to New York City to pursue an education as a recording engineer. Combining these skills led to studio remodeling, construction and finally to design. In the spring of 92, Todd and his wife Rachel moved to Nashville and started Sound Construction.

Building custom studio furniture and songwriting by day and remodeling Music Row studios and the occasional Taco Bell by night, their break came with the introduction of Yamaha’s 02R digital mixer in the summer of 95 and the first Custom Console mixing desk product line was born.
